Portable Load Bank
Quick and easy testing of small
generators is possible with the Simplex Swift-e Portable Load
Bank. Fully self-contained, lightweight and hand transportable,
the Swift-e can be used to test and maintain engine generators,
inverters, batteries, battery chargers, rectifiers and small
UPS systems. Swift-e’s are available as AC or DC units with
capacities up to 15,000 watts of load switchable in 250W increments.
AC Swift-e’s are rated 120/240V dual voltage, single phase.
DC Swift-e’s are rated 12V, 24V, 36V or 125V, single voltage
or dual voltage in 2X multiples (12/24, 18/36 or 62/125). All
control and cooling circuits operate from the source under test.
Complete test instrumentation and connection cables are provided.

Features
Load Elements:
Sealed, tubular-type element consisting of nichrome resistance wire sealed within an incolloy sheath (nickel alloy). Electrically dead exterior of element reduces hazard of electric shock and short circuit of elements. Element is rustproof, vibration and shock proof.
Load Control:
Panel mounted toggle switches for each load step and master load control. Main contactor for master load control/block loading.
Load Element Circuit Protection:
Main circuit breaker with overload/short circuit trips.
Malfunction Detection System: Over temperature sensor to protect against a cooling failure which could damage the Load Bank or present a safety hazard to the operator. Overvoltage sensor to protect against incorrect connection of load bank (connection of 240V to 120V circuits). Each sensor trips the main contactor and activates the alarm indicator.
Connection cable set, 10', with ring lug terminations.
NEMA type 1 enclosure, aluminum construction, painted beige with a blue control panel. Includes rubber feet, carry handles and cable storage hooks.
