Triton and Trident Load Bank

The Triton and Trident Load Banks are completely self-contained, freestanding units which include all resistive load elements, load control devices, load element branch circuit fuse protection, main load bus and terminals, cooling system, control power supply, unit controller and malfunction detection system and NEMA type enclosure. These Load Banks utilize the same cabinet design.

Very-high capacity load testing of generators or electric dynamometer testing of large engines and turbines is achieved with these Simplex Load Banks. They may be used singly or in systems of multiple units which yield total capacities of tens or hundreds of megawatts.

The Triton and Trident are single or dual voltage Load Banks suitable for all common 60 and 50 Hertz voltages up to 600V. Loads are stepped in any increment of 50KW, or, optionally, in fixed steps to 5KW or infinitely variable.

The load elements in the Triton and Trident Load Banks are cooled by a horizontal forced air system which discharges at a high velocity through the rear of the cabinet.



Cooling Fan and Motor

Simplex Load Banks can be used to satisfy the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for emergency stand-by power systems.
