Simplex Generator Neutral-Grounding ResistorSimplex SGGR Series Generator Neutral-Grounding Resistors are used with 5kV and 15kV generator systems to limit destructive ground fault currents. The SGGR Generator Neutral-Grounding Resistor is inserted in the neutral-ground connection of 4-wire, wye-connected generators. Simplex SGGR Series Resistors are designed per IEEE-32 Standards and packaged to UBC Zones 2,3,4 requirements (seismic qualification and calculations provided on a per order basis). Standard ratings and models are listed below. Specific voltage/current/resistance ratings are available from 277V through 69kV. Standard units are 10-second rated. Extended-time and continuous duty ratings are also available. Standard units are packaged in outdoor, weatherproof, galvanized steel enclosures. Alternative packaging is available including stainless steel, aluminized steel, and aluminum, special paint coatings, as well as special dimension packaging.

Galvanized steel enclosures with louvers and lifting eyes suitable for indoor or outdoor installation

Optional enclosures include stainless steel, aluminized steel, aluminum, polyurethane or powder coatings

Optional special dimension enclosures, special mounting arrangements available

Optional current transformers, potential transformers and current sensing relays available

UBC Zones 2, 3, 4 seismic qualification and calculations available
